Official Notes

A. M. A. MEDICAL FILMS LOANED TO MEXICO  Through a special arrangement with the State Department, forty-three motion pictures from the American Medical Association Film Library were loaned to Mexico during the month of August. In that short period the films were shown to more than 3,500 individual physicians and students in nine institutions, including the National University School of Medicine and the Mexican Military Medical School. Members of the teaching staff worked long hours preparing lectures in Spanish, which were given at the various motion picture demonstrations. The following is an excerpt from a letter sent to the American Medical Association by the First Secretary of the American Embassy in Mexico:The exhibition of these films has made medical history in Mexico.... Again I want to thank you and your associates for your cooperation in making these films
