For the first time discussion of endocrinology in a yearbook series makes its appearance in a new yearbook of endocrinology, metabolism and nutrition. The section on endocrinology provides a discussion of the pituitary gland, the thyroid, parathyroids, adrenals, the pancreas, the testes and the ovaries, and a few miscellaneous topics. This book, like others in the yearbook series, provides a review of the literature and from time to time editorial comment on this review. Its value is determined largely by the editor, and for this task the services of Willard O. Thompson have been secured. Tom D.
