RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE UTAH STATE MEDICAL ASSOCIATION 

For Presentation to the House of Delegates of the American Medical Association, Jan. 5, 1948  Whereas, The practice of radiology, pathology and anesthesiology is recognized by the American Medical Association as the practice of medicine; andWhereas, Leading hospital organizations of the United States have recognized this fact; andWhereas, There is a tendency on the part of certain hospital administrators to utilize the profits resulting from the operation of these departments in their institutions; andWhereas, This constitutes exploitation of professional medical services; andWhereas, This is contrary to medical ethics; therefore be itResolved, That it is the consensus of the Council that this practice should be condemned; and be it furtherResolved, That the Council of the Utah State Medical Association urge the House of Delegates of
