Abstract

This handy and concisely written manual will undoubtedly find favor with medical students, interns and the general practitioner for whom it was intended. It is up to date and gives a clear picture of the general approach to the subject of fractures and dislocations.

The course of treatment is outlined for the more common types of fractures in a clearcut manner representing an accurate consensus of present day practice. The author, who is well qualified by training, practice and association, wisely refrains from discussing controversial subjects which at the moment would serve to increase confusion in the minds of the student and general practitioner.

As a foundation manual for the student and as a ready reference guide for the general practitioner, this manual should serve its purpose admirably.
