The high quality that marked earlier editions is maintained in this one, which has been thoroughly revised to embrace new technics in treatment of the common contagious diseases developed during the seven years since the last edition was published. A new chapter has been included to discuss the role of the sulfonamide drugs and the antibiotics in treating contagious diseases. The chapter on poliomyelitis has been completely rewritten and contains much practical information. The book is well illustrated, including six exceptionally fine color plates which have great diagnostic value.
