Abstract

After defining genius, the author analyzes the list of eminent Americans as to their birthplace, heredity, marriage, height and weight, cause of death and similar factors. Among 973 eminent Americans he includes twenty-four physicians, and as to the genius of some of them there might be considerable doubt. The hook presents some interesting speculations but little that can be practically helpful in selecting and encouraging genius.
