STUDY OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE
Col. William L. Wilson, M. C., has been engaged in a study of the integration of administration of medical care to the civilian population in the event of war. This study, which has been under way since approved by the Surgeon General in March, 1947, is being conducted in the Department of Public Health Administration of the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. Colonel Wilson prior to the Normandy invasion was engaged in the planning and supervision of reestablishment of medical care for civilians in all liberated countries and Western Germany. Later he was chief of the public health and welfare branch of the Military Government of the United States zone of Germany.
