CALIFORNIA 

Postgraduate Conferences.—  Stanford University School of Medicine announces postgraduate conferences, "Important Recent Advances in Treatment in General Practice" (Sept. 12-14, $75) and "Recent Advances in General Surgery and Surgical Anatomy" (Sept. 12-16, $125). Applications for registration should be made to the Office of the Dean, Stanford University School of Medicine, 2398 Sacramento St., San Francisco 15.

Symposiums on the Campus.—  Three medical symposiums, sponsored by the Orange County and Riverside County Medical Associations and the San Bernardino County Medical Society, the School of Medicine at the University of California at Los Angeles, and the University of California Extension, will be presented this fall on the Riverside campus of the university: "What's New in Medicine," Sept. 21, 1-9:15 p. m.; "Obstetrics," Sept. 28, 2:30-9:30 p. m.; and "Fevers of Unexplained Origin," Oct. 5, 9 a. m.-5 p. m. Fees are $17.50 for one symposium, or $50 for all three. Application
