Abstract

In a medical economic abstract in the Organization Section of The Journal, September 28, page 1108, it was stated that in Georgia for the state as a whole there is one physician to 1,560 of population. According to the 1940 American Medical Directory, Georgia has a population of 3,073,000. The number of physicians is 2,825, thus giving Georgia one physician to 1,088 of population.
