Abstract

Elsewhere in The Journal are an abstract of the Proceedings of the House of Delegates and a review of some of the other activities at the recent annual session of the American Medical Association. This meeting, which was held in Atlantic City, was attended by approximately 12,000 physicians, who, with their families, helped swell the total registered attendance to more than 32,000. The scientific programs and descriptions of the technical exhibits were listed in an earlier issue of The Journal (April 14, 1951). Many of the papers that were presented at the Section meetings will appear in coming issues of The Journal, but some months necessarily will elapse before all the communications that are accepted for publication in The Journal can appear in print. Some of the papers that do not appear in The Journal will be published in the specialty journals.
