Abstract

This handbook is intended for students who are taking up the study of psychology for the first time. The author has attempted to describe the essential principles involved in psychology and the practical implications of these principles in practice. The relationships of so-called normal psychology to psychologic medicine are described. Short chapters on methods of treatment in psychoanalysis and other psychiatric and physical treatments of mental disorder are included.
