This book is outstanding among elementary chemistry texts for its high degree of clarity and accuracy. Most of the subject matter and its arrangement are not unusual, but the metals are treated in the order in which their cations are precipitated during qualitative analysis, rather than by families in the periodic table. The paper and binding are better than usual.
