Abstract

ILLINOIS 

Hospital Lecture.—  The final lecture in the eighth annual North Shore Hospital lecture series on Emotional Problems of Childhood will be held June 4, 8 p. m., on "Management of the Emotional Problems of the Physically Handicapped Child," by Dr. William Cooper, assistant professor of clinical surgery, Cornell University Medical School, New York City. The Commission on Education of the American Academy of General Practice has approved these lectures for category II credit.

Appoint Director of University Health Service.—  Dr. Orville S. Walters, of Danville, has been named director of the University of Illinois Health Service. Dr. Walters, staff psychiatrist at the Hospital in Danville, will take over his new duties Aug. 1. He was president of Central College, McPherson, Kan., from 1939 to 1944, when he entered private practice. In 1953 he became associated with the Veterans Administration.
