Abstract

This guide has been reedited and issued yearly since 1957 and contains listings of medical films and filmstrips that are recommended for use in the medical programs of at least one of the member agencies of the Interdepartmental Committee on Medical Training Aids. The committee comprises representatives from each of the following federal government agencies: (1) Department of the Air Force, Office of the Surgeon General; (2) Department of the Army, Office of the Surgeon General; (3) Department of the Navy, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery; (4) Armed Forces Institute of Pathology; (5) Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, Public Health Service; and (6) Veterans Administration, Department of Medicine and Surgery. While this is, no doubt, an accurate catalog of films and filmstrips, it must be remembered that these are selected for use in governmental programs; the guide does not purport to be a complete list of available films.
