Abstract

To the Editor:—  Liebowitz and Ritter reported on a case of anaphylactic reaction to chymotrypsin in The Journal, Jan. 9, page 159. Anaphylactic reactions were seen in 3 of 10 patients with cancer in another study who received courses of chymotrypsin without carrier. The study was recorded in the Proceedings of the Society of Experimental Biology and Medicine (71:250 [June] 1949).
