Dr. Motley Receives Alumni Award.—
The University of Missouri Medical School Alumni Association Certificate of Merit was awarded to Dr. Hurley Lee Motley, professor of medicine and director of the cardiorespiratory laboratory, University of Southern California School of Medicine, Los Angeles, at the annual session of the Missouri State Medical Association March 13-16. Dr. Motley received an A.B. in 1930, an A.M. and a B.S. in 1932, and a Ph.D. in 1934 from the University of Missouri, graduating in medicine from Harvard Medical School, Boston, in 1936. He was director of the cardiorespiratory laboratory at the Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia from 1947 to 1952.
Five Special Lectures.—
The University of Colorado Medical Center, Denver, announced that on March 24 Dr. A. McGehee Harvey, professor of medicine, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, delivered the annual Sewall Lecture as the first of five lectures by guest speakers.
