Abstract

A brief description of ear anatomy introduces this reel. Physical signs relating to the external ear, tympanic membrane diseases, method of testing patency of the eustachian tube, deafness tests, facial nerve paralyses, and labyrinth tests are presented. Three patients demonstrating the effect of deafness on speech are shown.
