To the Editor:  The "nasal crease," as described by me in The Journal, Oct. 29, 1960, page 1204, is caused by the repeated trauma to the nose of the "allergic salute" typically associated with the chronic nasal itching and edema of nasal allergy, or a similar maneuver of whatever cause. It has nothing to do with "a general sign of constitutional allergy" as suggested by Dr. I. N. Kugelmass.
