Abstract

This book contains the communications of the Houston Neurological Society Compendium on the Pathogenesis and Treatment of Cerebrovascular Disease, (1959).

Three major varieties of cerebrovascular disease are covered—occlusive arterial disease, primary intracerebral hemorrhage, and subarachnoid hemorrhage and aneurysm. The list of contributors is outstanding, each an expert in one or more fields related to cerebrovascular disease. This book provides an excellent review of the problems and progress in cerebrovascular disease. It will be mainly of interest to the specialist in this field, but it will also serve as an excellent text for anyone who wishes to be brought up to date in this rapidly expanding field.
