Medical Licensure Statistics for 1966

Abstract

This report is the 65th annual compilation of information and statistics pertaining to medical licensure in the United States and its possessions. As in previous years, data are included from all state boards of medical examiners as well as those pertaining to boards of examiners in the basic sciences and the National Board of Medical Examiners. There is also presented a summary account of the activities of the Federation of State Medical Boards of the United States and the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates.

The Council on Medical Education desires to express appreciation on behalf of the American Medical Association to those individuals and organizations who have cooperated in furnishing the information on which this current report is based.
