—Dr. Lee's suggestion that peripheral vascular disorder should be added to the list of possibilities to be considered in this case is most appropriate. My suggestion that hysteria also be included in this list of diagnostic possibilities was not intended to exclude organic conditions from consideration. Dr. Lee and I appear to be in agreement in our answer to the specific question asked by the reader from Illinois and in the conclusion that myelography would appear to be a rather unlikely cause for the pain in the patient's left toe which started in May, 1960.
