Abstract

A case of classic chronic calcific constrictive pericarditis had a benign 11-year course until appearance of an intercurrent lymphoma. Following treatment of the lymphoma there was a remission in the hemodynamic abnormalities caused by the pericarditis. It is important to consider complicating factors in the evaluation of constrictive pericarditis.
