Cryptogenetic Congestive Severe Coagulopathy in Splenomegaly

A severe coagulopathy with hypofibrinogenemia was found in a patient with cryptogenetic congestive splenomegaly. The clotting disorder, presumably of the consumption type, was completely reversed by splenectomy.
