Gout While Receiving Levodopa for Parkinsonism

Abstract

Reported here are two cases of gout which occurred during levodopa therapy for parkinsonism and a third patient who developed elevation in his serum uric acid level but no symptoms of gout. We believe that these are the first two patients to manifest gout while receiving levodopa treatment.
