The Comparative Pathology of the Tumors of Bone accomplishes its primary purpose of supplying a compilation of the bone tumors that affect animals, together with a large bibliography. The tumors are related in sequence to comparable or identical tumors in man. The author's information for the latter derives from his own extensive experience in almost two decades of work with some 1,750 cases of tumor or tumor-like diseases, or conditions in which a differential diagnosis of bone tumor came up for consideration in the Bone Tumor Registry at the University of Oregon.
