Radiodermatitis Caused by a Radioactive Gold Ring

Abstract

A radioactive gold ring made from improperly salvaged gold radon seeds caused dermatitis which has lasted for over 40 years. The source of the radiation was lead 210, a beta emitter with a half-life of 22 years.
