Abstract

In the ORIGINAL CONTRIBUTION, "Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA) in Colonic Cancer: Use in Preoperative and Postoperative Diagnosis and Prognosis," by Phani Dhar, MD; Terrence Moore, MD; Norman Zamcheck, MD; and Herbert Z. Kupchik, MD, published in the July 3 issue (221:31-35, 1972), the trade names Efudex and Fluoroplex were incorrectly given for fluorouracil. These trade names are for topically applied forms of fluorouracil, whereas in the communication, the injectable form was referred to. The injectable form is marketed by Hoffmann-La Roche under its non-proprietary name, fluorouracil.
