Abstract

To the Editor.—  I was very disappointed that Dr Lowitz neglected to mention the most important reason for encouraging smoking (235: 804, 1976). It is obvious that cancer is good for you. It is the greatest advancement ever in preventive medicine, since it prevents old age, senility, arteriosclerosis, strokes, loss of memory, and other debilitations. I am certain that Dr Lowitz is anxious to have this oversight corrected.
