Abstract

A young man with life-threatening idiopathic pulmonary hemosiderosis of three years'duration experienced prompt and lasting remission of his disease with the institution of immunosuppressive therapy. The response of this patient and three others reported in the literature indicates the need for further trial of this mode of therapy in this serious disease.
