Abstract

Many authors have attempted to explain the massive deaths of the Jews from the large consumption of quail during their exodus from Egypt. Recent observations lead me to the conclusion that the above mentioned deaths were possibly due to acute myoglobinuria, similar to those deaths observed today in the island of Lesbos after the consumption of quail.
