To the Editor.—
I think that one factor was not brought out. Basically, this is the correlation of the increase in drugs such as chlordiazepoxide and diazepam to the amount of advertising that drug companies do. I think that a definite correlation would be found and this correlation is not related to effectiveness.I do not write to be destructively critical, but to point to fashion in the prescribing of medication.
