Abstract

To the Editor.—  Recently we reported, in The Journal (230:722, 1974), a case of primary pericardial tumor masquerading as constrictive pericarditis. Since there has been a lot of interest concerning the histologic diagnosis of this pericardial tumor, we thought it might be of interest to indicate that this was a primary mesothelioma of the pericardium (Figure).
