IN THE article "Update: Multistate Outbreak of Escherichia coli O157:H7 Infections from Hamburgers—Western United States, 1992-1993," on page 262 (JAMA. 1994;269:2194-2196), the last sentence of the second to last paragraph incorrectly states the internal temperature for cooked hamburgers as "155 F (86.1 C)"; the correct Centigrade temperature is 68 C (the Fahrenheit temperature is correct as published).
