Abstract

Every individual and institution interested in and involved with the history of human diseases will find this an important reference work. Kiple and the Cambridge University Press set out to portray the history of human diseases from many angles and in substantial detail, to provide a starting place for researchers, and to "encapsulate" what this generation knows about the field. They have achieved their goals.
