Abstract

This book deals with one of the more exciting, recent developments in cancer therapy: the use of the body's own defense mechanisms in combating cancer.

This approach utilizes agents collectively referred to as biological response modifiers, which are receiving a great deal of attention nationally and internationally. Tumor-directed monoclonal antibodies, interferons, and interleukins are examples of these agents.
