Dr Rosner's suggestions that we consider the use of theological classics and that we add a theologian to our teaching team are excellent and pertinent. It is our intent to achieve both of these goals in our use of literary classics in teaching medical ethics to physicians. We agree that the use of theological classics will add important insight into our understanding of the ethical relationships between the patient and the physician.
