Abstract

Several errors occurred in the ORIGINAL CONTRIBUTION "Cutaneous Form of Bovine Papular Stomatitis in Man," published in the Dec 18 issue of The Journal (1981;246:2813-2818). In Table 2, on pages 2814 and 2815, all virus isolation and tests for cytopathologic effect were done in bovine embryonic lung cell (BELC), and not in bovine testicle cell culture (BTCC) or bovine kidney cell culture (BKCC). In case 2, on page 2814, distinct white margination of lesions occurred by day 3, rather than day 7. In the legends for Fig 1, 2, and 3, on pages 2814 and 2815, and in line 8 of the paragraph under the heading "Electron Microscopy" on page 2817, "poxvirus" should have been "parapoxvirus."
