To the Editor:—
In reference to the article "Invasive Pulmonary Aspergillosis Associated With Influenza" by Fischer and Walker (241:1493, 1979), mention is made that invasive pulmonary aspergillosis is usually seen in the compromised host and that invasive disease is rare in normal persons. The authors mention only 13 cases of pulmonary aspergillosis being described in the literature as occurring in normal hosts. In 1961, my coauthors and I1 reported an additional case that was not cited by Drs Fischer and Walker.
