To the Editor.—
Since I read the letter entitled "Board Examinations" by Gil Hauer Santos, MD (243:120, 1980), I have been laughing. As an exiled Cuban physician who was never given that kind of examination until arriving in the United States, and passed with God's help, I completely agree with Dr Santos and many hundreds of other physicians for whom this senseless and obtuse examination is more hazardous to the mind than any illness.By the way, Dr Santos' satire was better than many I have read in MAD magazine, and his writing style reminds me of Mark Twain's. My congratulations, and I would like to see more contributions from Dr Santos to experience again the joyous moments that I had from reading his letter.
