Intended for the physician who treats skin diseases, this book is especially designed to be of service to the nondermatologist as well as to the dermatologist who is in the process of establishing his practice. To the former it provides treatment guidelines for those skin diseases that the general practitioner is most likely to see and that can be treated successfully with the approaches used by Dr Epstein and set forth simply and lucidly in this volume. For both, Dr Epstein provides office procedure guidelines and especially a series of patient instruction sheets that can serve as the nucleus for each practitioner's own set of similar patient aids. Even established dermatologists may find much of value in the patient instruction sheets provided here.
This volume contains few illustrations and is almost devoid of disease descriptions, but provides specific, detailed treatment directions for about 30 common skin disorders. Dr Epstein usually
