Abstract

In Reply.—  I appreciate Dr Tulsky's comments supporting the position presented in my COMMENTARY and agree with him that physicians serving on hospital boards must be qualified in the way he describes. His letter particularly interests me because it so effectively reflects the many comments I have had from physicians who have written and spoken to me. The level of interest appears to be substantial. Indeed, I have been informed that copies of the "open letter" have been distributed to all the board members of a considerable number of medical institutions.
