Abstract

An error occurred in the ORIGINAL CONTRIBUTION "Vaginal Spermicides and Congenital Disorders," published in the April 3 issue of The Journal (1981;245:1329-1333). On page 1331, Table 4, entry 2 under the heading "Mother's Exposure to Spermicide" should have read "Yes."

(This study did not implicate any particular brand name products; the vast majority of spermicidal products contain nonoxynol 9 and octoxynol. The study results apply to all spermicidal products containing nonoxynol 9 and octoxynol.)
