Errors occurred in the Letter to the Editor entitled "B12 Deficiency in AIDS," published in the Nov 18 issue of THE JOURNAL (1988;260:2837). Transcobalamin II is a serum protein that binds absorbed B12, not a drug given to patients. On page 2837, in four places the text should have referred to "cobalamin levels on transcobalamin," not "cobalamin levels when taking transcobalamin."
