Chairperson's Column  Judy M. Linger, University of Kentucky College of MedicineEvery year my church family enjoys a day in which we celebrate our diversity. I have often thought that a similar event would be appropriate within the house of medicine. The dynamic nature of our chosen profession ensures a variety of career opportunities for today's medical students as well as for practicing physicians.A videotaped presentation emphasizing the excitement and diversity of career opportunities in medicine has been developed by the AMA and the Association of American Medical Colleges. The program, "Science and Art in the Name of Healing," is intended for high school and college students interested in a medical career. The videotape has been sent to deans and executive directors of state and county medical societies. Medical Student Section members who would like to use the videotape for presentations can contact the Department of Medical Student Services.
