By Uniting We Stand...

JAMA. 1971;217(3):325-328. doi:10.1001/jama.1971.03190030051011
Abstract

It is a gloomy moment in history. Not for years has there been so much apprehension.

Never has the future seemed so incalculable.

In France, the political caldron seethes.... Russia hangs like a cloud on the horizon.... All the resources of the British are sorely tried....

Of our problems here in the United States, no man can see the end.
