Abstract

—In the Original Contribution entitled "Effects of Estrogen or Estrogen/Progestin Regimens on Heart Disease Risk Factors in Postmenopausal Women: The Postmenopausal Estrogen/ Progestin Interventions (PEPI) Trial," published in the January 18, 1995, issue of The Journal (1995;273:199-208), some dual-reported triglyceride levels and a fibrinogen level were incorrect. In Table 1, the triglyceride values should be 1.12±0.04 mmol/L (99.0±3.3 mg/dL) for placebo, 1.11±0.04 mmol/L (98.7±3.4 mg/dL) for CEE only, 1.06±0.03 mmol/L (94.3±2.9 mg/dL) for CEE + MPA (cyc), 1.16±0.04 mmol/L (102.7±3.6 mg/dL) for CEE + MPA (con), and 1.10±0.04 mmol/L (97.5±3.4 mg/dL) for CEE + MP (cyc). On page 200, third column, second paragraph, the text should read "level of 5.6 mmol/L (500 mg/ dL)"; on page 203, first column, third paragraph, "a mean of 1.11 mmol/L (98.3 mg/dL) to 1.25 mmol/L (111 mg/dL)"; and on page 205, second column, last paragraph, "less than 5.6 mmol/L (500 mg/dL)." Also, in Table 2, the fibrinogen
