IN the article "Update: Cholera—Western Hemisphere, and Recommendations for Treatment of Cholera," the city given for Jianas Brothers (on page 564, the seventh line of the first paragraph under the subheading "Treatment" and on page 1186, JAMA, September 4, ninth line from top of third column) should be Kansas City, Missouri. In the article "Infant Mortality—United States, 1988," the second clause of the last sentence of the fourth paragraph on page 644 (JAMA. From CDCpage 1912) should read: "... the rate for black infants was 11.5 per 1000 live births, compared with 11.7 in 1987."
