An error occurred in the article entitled "Cutaneous Allergy to Human (Recombinant DNA) Insulin," published in the March 16 issue of The Journal (1984;251:1459-1460). The last sentence of the first paragraph should have read as follows: "While there have been patients with systemic allergy to animal insulins who have responded favorably to semisynthetic human insulin,5 there are patients who react to human insulin."6
