Abstract

—Two errors occurred in the Editorial entitled "On the Utility of Growth Curves," published in the February 19, 1992, issue of THE JOURNAL (1992;267:975-976). On page 976, last paragraph, third line, it is stated that "the birth weight of black infants changed minimally during the period of study, while the birth weight of Asian infants fell from above the level in the black subjects to near that in the white and Hispanic subjects." This part of the sentence should read "the frequency of low birth weight of black infants changed minimally during the period of study, while the frequency of low birth weight of Asian infants fell from above the level in the black subjects to near that in the white and Hispanic subjects."
