To the Editor.—  I read Dr Gelbard's letter in The Journal on "Removal of Small Cactus Spines From the Skin." In 1981, I reported a method of using facial gel to peel away the spines.2 Facial gel, which dries to form a mask or sheet, is made to be applied to the skin and does not leave a sticky residue.
